So, Justin had sex. (Or, "a conversation," as he insisted to his partners back at the apartment... and what do we really know?) But unlike the intimate encounters most of us have I said most Justin's coital moment will be endlessly commented upon. Not just by Justin and his friends, but by the whole world.
If there was any cuddling, it happened in the next room. When the lights finally came on at J's apartment, Justin wasted no time kissing "J" goodbye and slipping out into the street.
As he hunted for his car, random fans from a nearby building rushed out to congratulate him. They ask him why he ducked out so suddenly. "Discretion is the better part of valor," he opines.
Back at the apartment, his team and friends played it totally cool. As in, pretended they missed the whole thing. Eventually, though, the smirking was impossible to hide, and they set upon him like Barbara Walters on crack. Their interrogation was about as skilled as that, actually. And Justin isn't exactly forthcoming with the details. "It was just a conversation," he chants. They soon invite questions from fans... and it doesn't take long for Justin to bow out in disgust.

Thanks, Mike. Added to the post while I wait for YouTube to come back online.
first of all, justin wasn't hunting for his car (he walks right into the y-scraper at the end of the video), and those weren't random fans (it was the weebly/xobni crew). secondly, the blessed event couldn't possibly have come about organically, and it is therefore somewhat appalling. that said, the project really needed this.

Justin Got Lucky? Did We?
Well, the net is all a buzz with Justin's date last night with a woman named "J".
The people who know me, flooded my IM and inbox with questions, asking how I was going to write about this blessed event.
You may be surprised. Oh yea, I am going to write about the date...just not the way you may think.
My commentary on this blog has always been and will continue to be, about the production values and business end of Justin.tv. I look at Justin.tv from a fan's perspective. I leave it to the excellent bloggers on this site and others, to give viewers the minute by minute recap of the events on Justin.tv.
Given that, this is my perspective of the day's events:
In my previous post, ( http://tinyurl.com/2ttjlg ) I was shocked and eventually skeptical upon finding out that Justin had seemed to turn a new leaf and start treating his thousands of loyal viewers with respect. Because he was being monitored by a local radio station, my concern was this sudden change, for the better, was just an insincere and short lived publicity grab. If it was a stunt, I expected Justin and the team to revert back to their immature and distasteful ways later on in the day.
This did not happen. Justin, at least on this day, continued to intermittently acknowledge and speak to his audience. They spent some time in the site's chat room with the viewers, responding to questions and comments that viewers had.
Those of you that follow my comments, know that I have been a constant critic of Justin and the team's inability to adhere and follow the events on the calendar. It has been a sore point for viewers. They tune in to Justin.tv on the date and time the calendar says an event will take place, only to find out that Justin has blown off the event, or is late (which he is most of the time).
Well, yesterday Justin and the calendar seemed to improve dramatically. For the most part, Justin seemed to stick with the events, as stated on the calendar. The only dropped event was Justin going shopping for today's "lock up" promotion, because it was decided at the last minute the rest of the team would not participate in the event.
Justin, true to form, was late for his bike ride that was supposed to occur at 4 PM. Those of us that follow Justin.tv knew that the bike ride was not going to happen at that time. 4 PM is the time that the team has their regular daily meeting, which did occur at that time.
Lindsay, the inexperienced, non-qualified "Producer" was at the apartment during this time, and never mentioned that the calendar should be changed to reflect the new time Justin would go for his bike ride.
Why does this matter? San Francisco is a beautiful city and there are viewers that tune in specifically for these type of events, to see the sights through Justin.tv. There was a lot of disappointment expressed in the site chatrooms, that I saw, from viewers who tuned in to see the bike ride, just to be disappointed to see the daily meeting, the calendar not changed and the "Producer" Lindsay's face was buried in her computer typing.
Let's just hope that Lindsay's on the job training will include the most basic aspects of production and make sure the viewers see what is advertised at the times that they are set. How hard is it to change the time?
As a matter of fact, as I watch the feed this morning, I see that Justin is still sleeping, but the calendar says he was supposed to do a radio interview 15 minutes ago.
Now on to the date with "J"...
It was pointed out to me from people that Justin basically made no effort to clean up for his date. After doing a extended bike ride, Justin never bothered to change clothes or take a shower before his date (although he did brush his teeth, which he didn't do with his previous date with "J".)
Note: For those of you that are not aware, this is the second date with a woman named "J". Before the first date, Justin had a lunch meeting at a Italian restaurant and then immediately left to meet "J" without, at least, brushing his teeth. Luckily, "J" offered him a breath mint during the date.
It will become clear why I bring this up later.
So, true to form, Justin was late for his date because he was just sitting around the apartment, not doing anything particularly important.
I found this part interesting. It was cold and windy in San Francisco last night, but Justin opted to eat outside, instead of the warm confines of the restaurant. It was not really clear why Justin choose to do this. It is true that many places will not allow Justin and his camera in. They even have asked him to leave. It was not clear if that was the case here, although when a concerned waitress mentioned that if they got too cold, they could go inside and eat, "J" responded to her that Justin wanted to eat outside.
But, from a production standpoint, it was much better for Justin and "J" to have dinner outside, because the sound and picture quality would be much better. It has been our past experience that the sound and picture feed tends to be choppy and inconsistent when Justin has been indoors at places like restaurants.
Having his date eat outside started me wondering if this whole date was a set-up... a staged, structured event, constructed by all the parties involved? I mean, what kind of a person would take a date to a nice restaurant and make her eat outside in the cold and wind? She certainly was not wearing cold weather clothes.
This is where my indecisiveness, if this was a set-up, comes in.
Those of us that follow Justin know that he is, to say the least, awkward and inconsiderate when it comes to women. Justin does not open doors for women, or let them in elevators first, for example. So, it would not be out of realm of possibility that this is another example of that. When it comes to not considering the comfort of a woman, I can see Justin not caring if she is outside in the cold and wind.
This is where the lack of showering and changing clothes for the date comes in. If this was a staged set-up for the viewers sake and publicity, Justin would naturally not be inclined to put much effort into cleaning up.
But, then again, Justin's hygiene habits has always been suspect.
Another thing that struck me was, while Justin and "J" were walking to her apartment, Justin received a cell phone call from, what appeared to be, a member of the Justin.tv team. During the conversation, Justin asked if the feed was still working and after finding out it was, hung up.
Both parties were more than aware of the camera. In fact, Justin turned the camera down, so people would not know where "J" lives.
Now, as far as the events that transpired at "J's" apartment, it was no surprise to me how it was handled. There was no doubt in my mind that if things ever got that far, the camera would put in a different direction, or place and the sound would be turned off.
The aftermath, for me was just as predictable.
So from a production standpoint, by far, the most interesting and popular part of Justin.tv is his dates.
During this date with "J", the site chatrooms were going wild with advice and frustration with Justin's awkward style and conversation, mixed with the predictable, annoying childish and crude gibber about "J".
The viewers went wild when Justin turned off the sound and put the camera in the kitchen. I am not sure what they expected to see and hear, but when the lights went off things just exploded!
According to reports, thousands of viewers stayed tuned to see if Justin would leave to go home and to see what the team would say when he got home.
This was, no doubt, a great viewing experience and put Justin.tv back on the internet water cooler conversation forefront, at a time when the publicity was starting to fade.
Was it all staged? Did anything really happen? Was this just a publicity stunt?
Were we really that lucky to be there with Justin, or were we just taken along for the ride?
To tell you the truth, I don't honestly know... There are only two people (at least) who know for sure.
And to be honest, I don't care.
What I do know is that it made for a great viewing experience and without a doubt, a great publicity generator.
Sex always sells...Even with Justin.
Let's just hope that planning and production will catch up to the potential we saw last night.
Can someone tell me how one can set up their own "justin tv" concept. Obviously, he's using a wired web cam, but is it possible he's always in a "hot spot" for internet transmission? What am I missing here?
jcohen, he's using EVDO(cellular data) for his connection.

So thorough is her recap, it's almost as if she read and watched the videos here at Justin.TV Guide!
